Environmental Education
The Environmental Education Team met on March 20 th . The project the team decided to work on is a series of professional development workshops for Fayette County teachers related to the uniqueness of the Bluegrass , which would cross all content areas. We will invite Content Area Specialists to develop the conceptual framework and connect to all subject areas. We will enlist UK faculty and staff, community members and professionals from across the community to promote and conduct the workshops. We will develop a calendar of events according to the rough draft outline below:
• Year 1- Offer a series of 3-hour workshops on a variety of topics
• Year 2- Offer the same 3-hour workshops as Year 1with additional workshops or more in-depth workshops on Year 1 topics
We will create a booklet listing all the workshops along with a poster or some other promotional items.
